Hi! I think you did a good job with the construction of this song. The instruments worked well together. The melody was good. The mixing sounded good too. Your hard work shows through this piece. Keep it up!

odditica responds:

Thanks!

Cool! I think this was a nice remix of the original. Are you planning to do more remixes? :D

DESHIEL responds:

ofcourse I do. If you go to my profile page you'll findout that I have a playlist with my remixes.

Man, I am such a sucker for movie score music, and you really nailed it here! I cannot wait to hear more music from you. Good luck in NGADM! :D

This was a really enjoyable listen. Having the nice blend of the chiptune with the guitar created a wonderful atmosphere. While I was listening, for some reason, I couldn't help but to imagine this song playing in a Sonic game haha! Overall, good job :)

Well dang. It's tracks like this by peeps like you that make me think "Wow, why do I even try with my music?" LOL! XD

No, in seriousness now, I cannot tell you how professionally well done this track is. The guitar was off the chain. Did you play piano too? I totally LOVE the piano in this piece.

I don't drink cocktail, but I still enjoyed the song nonetheless. Keep up the awesome!

Biggyzoom responds:

Thanks man. When I made this I'm sure it was something I just 'whipped up'. Piano-wise, I played the odd bits in the background by hand but the solo was programmed. I'm a pretty weak piano player.

LOL how did I favorite this song but forgot to review? xD

Anyway, beautiful job here! The piano playing was especially effective. For your first time using Vocaloid, you did a great job! The beginning is the one spot where I actually noticed that the mixing could have been better for the vocaloid, but other than that, I think you did pretty well with the mixing overall. Beautiful lyrics too!

Keep up the awesome!

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

I will certainly try. Thanks for the review, glad you liked it.

Nice! I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something about the song that makes me want to sit back and chill out. This song that is very laidback yet still has some bump, and that's really cool. Definitely loving that bass and the drum rhythm you used.

I also appreciate the fact that you do not have too much going on. I know that adding a variety of different, little elements to the music helps create a good sound (especially in how you do it), but I think just working with the bass, drums, and synth in this case worked out well (especially since you seemed to know what to do those instruments).

My only qualm is that part around 1:20 where a couple of keys were out of tune. I'm not sure if you did that on purpose or not, but I would probably try to not go out of key there. I know sometimes going off-key can add a twist to the song, but for me, it didn't quite work for me. That's just my opinion though.

Overall, good job in my book! This was a nice experiment :)

Interesting. Very interesting indeed. Kudos to both you and the lyricist. The song has a Halloween type of vibe, especially with that ghostly sound going on in the background. I look forward to the PV! :)

steampianist responds:

yeah it does give out that ghastly vibe and thank you for listening

Very chill~ You accomplished the calm atmosphere well. If this music were in a game, I can imagine a character's walking down a hallway, checking different doors in a mystery setting. Not really horror, but more of a chilled-out mystery scene (if that makes sense haha). Keep up the good work :)

GuruGarama responds:

Thanks :) That's a good way to describe it: chilled-out mystery scene. I might actually use that in the future. :P

I remember hearing this song on your Soundcloud. Very cool vibe you have going here. I like the change you did around 1:08. I almost wish you had kept that particular part going for a little longer, but then you did exactly that around 1:31, and then the section change after that was really cool! This song is definitely something I can imagine for a video game, so good job :)

Suggestion: During that part around 0:50, I kept wanting to hear a lead synth playing a melody over that part. Maybe you could have included it to add more change to the song. It's just a suggestion though.

Overall, awesome! *applause*

sakesensei responds:

Thank you very much!
I'll keep that in mind.
